Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread

It seems you tried Ukrainian translation but even so there is a mistake u only missed one letter
If I was still drinking I would totally be thinking there was some genetic memory of this stuff, it's easier than Hebrew but I think that's just cause there are actual vowels. I'm going to finish the Uk and Ru flashcards so I can pronounce and then use all the cognate words as a beachhead in reading stuff. 10 years ago I just started reading stuff in Portuguese and I told my Brazilian friend and she was like I don't think it's that easy but once I got the basics other words became obvious through context. I think the key is to develop an internal monologue, thinking in another language is so trippy.

Alphabet I guess is where you start, just like in kindergarten, how to pronounce letters and then flash cards and so on. It took me like 2 -3 years before I quit translating from Russian to Eng in my head, so yeah in order for you to start thinking in another language you need to be more or less fluent

Was that when you lived here? I wish I had the balls or money to just go live in another country. I had enough money last year to buy a house in Turkey, it was a crappy house but for $15,000 I could have lived for like ten years there instead of one here

Yeah 2-3 years living here.
I’ve met a Scottish old man in Ukraine, he didn’t speak any Russian. He said he bought a house there and moved from England. He gets only $1000 a month as retirement payments and would have to live on the street back home. But in Ukraine where average salary aprox $300-500 he was feeling like a god gave him the second chance. He could afford practically anything to live the rest of his life in comfort. And I said that’s not a God, that’s you being a smart man.

He also gets all the bitches probably,
I saw that in Egypt a few years ago. You think hot daughters with their kids go on holiday with their grandfather.. but the grandchild calls the old guy “dadda” and he commands the wife at 9PM to come to the bedroom. Not to fuck her with his granddad like limp dick, but just to make sure she understand who her master is or some shit. Or maybe they beat them? Anyway I hate Egypt. I wish the people well but in the touristic areas they would probably murder them if it meant a few more bucks

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread

Meanwhile in Poland Polak don’t get it why movie “Volyn” is in the movie theaters of Russia, which is an enemy but not in Ukraine. One of the answers was : Because in reality Ukraine is an enemy.

Volyn massacres where Ukranian Bandera with his SS battalion slaughtered, raped thousands of Polish women, kids and men. 2 weeks ago Ukranian Ambassador Melnik in Germany came to visit his Grave, Lay the flowers and pay respect.
