Warfare is when Russians forcing Ukr army out of the cities or hitting factories ( occasionally miss). Ukraine on another hand is simply hitting cities with artillery for no reason, behind the frontline. Well I guess there is only one reason to get civilians killed and this is by far more horrific and you know it

I don't know you guys are basically saying the same thing here, Ukraine want's those cities back and they are gonna get shelled until they stop resisting, I would posit that they are actually targeting ammo dumps and stuff which the Russians if they are sensible are moving out of Himars range.

Maybe we should go back to walls, sieges and armies being let loose to rape and pillage if the city doesn't surrender.

Let me explain how false that statement is.

Ukraine would get wrecked by Russia without help from other countries. Those countries would 100% not appreciate their help being used to intentionally target civilians. They would stop sending military aid. Then more countries would stop. That is something Ukraine can't afford, it would doom them and they would absolutely lose the war.So they need to walk a straighter line and be more careful when that button is pushed. Where is that going to land? Is our Intel factual? Are the grid coordinates correct?

Russia doesn't have that obstacle. The world hates them. They are almost exclusively relying on themselves, they've already pissed the world off, so what's some more dead civilians in a mall, hospital or a school if it helps our objectives? Plus, Russian military doctorine is still one leg in cold war mode, if a city fights you too much, raze it to the ground with artillery and plant a flag in the ruins. That's how Russia does things, I'm not going to run down that massive pre-Ukraine laundry list for you, one of them is recently in Syria and the most notable being Grozny.

Also Russia's weapons are more inaccurate than modern western ones which are becoming a larger component of what Ukraine is using. Without this, more stuff gets hit which wasn't meant to get hit. That's a double whammy - this combined with Russia's reckless tactics and desire to intimidate Ukranians to pressure the government to quit, or to leave the country seeking safety - thus removing them from the theater - is what makes Russia a far larger offender in the realm of collateral damage, civilian deaths (intentional and unintentional) and other war crimes.

So, there is this thing called reporting, whereby they report what Russia said and no where in that article is it confirmed. And western media is for sure confirming that Donetsk is being shelled, they do sometimes claim it to be false flag ops by FSB.
