Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Appreciate your effort WonderMama but he's got his head in the sand. He only pays attention to things that confirm his pre-existing beliefs and flippantly dismisses anything else as fake news. Reminds me of a Mark Twain quote. "It's easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled." |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
The second any proof came out that these people were collaborating with the Russians and executed by the Azov forces or whatever, you would be like: “Well it is a war… and they should not have been helping the enemy so… it is their own fault really!” This is hypothetical but at the same time you know it’s true and this makes it very hard for me to respect or find any value in your opinions. You only care about the side taking human lives. Not the actual humans. The Mariupol theatre would have been an even bigger war crime, yet, not a single photo of any charred person, child or women. It would have been the world press photo, and on every single newspaper in the entire world, even Russia. A burned mother and child holding each other or whatever. Not even a charred dog? For maximum human emotional response Instead, not a single photo has been released regarding this. Instead you even forgot about it. Think about that. 600 women and children killed in a war crime and you never gave it a second thought. Actual kids being destroyed in attacks since 2014. “But they (their parents) don’t really identify as Ukrainians do they?.. so basically they are the enemy right? Well if you could kill hitler as a baby you should right? So nobody should shed a tear about the civil war victims as they are basically the Russians of the future” |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Of course it's hard to portray what you want over words as they can be interpreted in a million ways. Ofc what you said makes sence and the most possible of the two. Unfortunately I don't think we ever know each side will blame the other and people will choose a side that's inevitable. You do keep the forums alive and post good content aggred. To be honest it just really gets to me when I see people labeling Russia as one people when they arnt I guess it is closer to home as my partner is Russian but her family is of course still over there. Sure not every Russian is against the war but that's mostly uneducated Town folk that would blow you for a dollar. Most people we speak to hate the war just how can you speak out about it when you either go missing or face 15 years in jail. One of our friends told us they can't even buy women products and how some women have to use tissue That also makes me pissed at the west why should we punish the people for one man's actions they think the people will rise up that will never happen Another thing we say putin is a dictator just like sadam and gadadfe we went to war with them under that pretext (we all know that's not the reason) why arnt we going to war with Russia is it not exactly the same? Sorry for the long one haha |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
How do you know what I think about? How do you know what I know about Mariupol or what I've forgotten? You don't. Always, ALWAYS putting words in others' mouths and now thoughts in others' heads? The side taking human lives are both sides, truth be told. Let's not continue to paint Russia to be the victim here. Hypotheticals are by definition... conjecture or "what ifs" so there is no truth to be argued over with hypotheticals. They are non-existent theories and no one here is interested in them. Meanwhile your comrades are posting obvious propaganda (Ukrainian "barge" shot by helicopters - when it was a huge stone pillar) and Armenian/Azerbaijan footage saying "sounds chechen" in the media thread. Completely wrong conflict and I'd like to suggest you all research your shit before you just post anything and everything you see. And you want to talk about respect and value in opinions? Are you referring to my actual opinions or the one's you put in my mouth? I have really tried to understand you as well as the other side of this war but again you are doing your cause absolutely zero favors. You seem to be ONLY speaking in hypotheticals, circles and including yourself in wars you weren't involved in. The latter of which might merit a call to your doctor. But I am officially and once again giving up on trying to hold any reasonable and logical discussions with you pertaining directly to this war other than to say the only thing anyone needs to remember is Russia does not belong in Ukraine. Russia does not belong in Ukraine
