Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Sorry I am plucking another post out of the media thread.... I have something to say about it. Surprise, surprise! The same can be said for the Russians shelling Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol, Berdiansk, Kherson, Odesa, Sumy, Yavoriv, Bahkmut, Kramatorsk, Chasiv Yar, Izium, Snake Island, Avdiivka, Chernihiv, Ivankiv, Trostianets, Mykolaiv, Bucha, Enerhodar, Volnovakha, Melitopol, Hostomel, Okhtyrka, Konotop, Irpin, Makariv, Brovary, Slavutych, Sloviansk, Soledar, Pisky, Lysychansk, Sviatorhirsk, Lyman, Vuhledar, Siversk, Bohorodychne, Krasnopillia, Davydiv Brid, Toshkivka, Sivierodonetsk, Siverskyi Donets, etc. etc. etc. Except Ukraine is defending their country from hostile occupation and loss of territory. Russia used the Russians/pro-Russians living in Ukraine in various areas to wage a war with the whole country for resources. I think you have even acknowledged to me that you agree Russia does not care about them. Why is it more shocking to you that Ukraine is shelling than it is for Russia to be coming into another country and indiscriminately shelling all over the country? Is Ukraine supposed to ignore potential targets near civilian areas where the people fighting them are hiding? Russia sure as hell doesn't ignore them. Especially after Amnesty International gave them an excuse to do even more of it. I just don't get the double standard, if you want to call it that. Why is it ok for Russia to do it in another country but it's wrong for Ukraine to do it in their own defensively? And are these 50k Ukrainians you speak of ethnic Russians who were born in Ukraine? Or are they Ukrainian born Ukrainians who you claim are willfully fighting for Russia? Do you have sources of this information? Or is this word of mouth on Telegram? Those are two very different "Ukrainians". But regardless, if they are fighting along side Russia, they too, are valid targets. Please and thank you.

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Is there a difference between firing at enemy soldiers, or firing at civilians? - No; civilians looking for independence are no better than enemy soldiers thus they and their residential areas without military equipement are allowed to be fired upon Source: western consensus |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
The problem of Ukraine is that if was built by connecting eastern lands with Austrian-Hungarian lands. That’s right there 2 different mentalities. Just like here you ( west) will probably never understand my point, just like I will never yours seems like. It was ALWAYS west Ukraine vs South/East starting from presidential elections and ending with the kitchen talks. My mom is 100% Ukrainian and she hates this state ( government) since 2014. In fact she blames this Ukr government and the West for this war. There are Ukrainians and there are Russians born in UA 1st.2,3… 25th gen or w/e. Just like there are Hungarian, Polaks, Czecks etc born in Ukraine in the west. Ukrainian government was screaming on western TV that they are our people and we will take care of them, well they did. When Crimea separated first thing they did - cut of power and most importantly water supply for the whole Crimea peninsula. While still talking on TV that people of Krimea are our people and we will never forget about them and all kind of other BS and lies. When Ichkeria became somewhat independent Russia still was making payments towards the most Vulnerable classes of society. The reason why I’m posting shelling of Donetsk is just to show you ( even tho I already see you don’t understand) that That state can kill civilians for no reason… whell there is one - Hate. No army object near, just a simple “good morning high fives” that’s it. No city fights. And BTW, Donbas is fighting for his lands too. Donbas in 2014 was standing for a different Ukraine and not for Russia. Wait what? “Valid target? What about kids?? I assume I don’t need to ask what about women and elders after this statement And just out of curioucity, how many generations should pass for you to become an American? So if there is a civil war, people would treat you as American and not Irish for instance? Meaning if shit hits a fan ur allowed to speak up and your opinion matters? I keep coming back to you msg to see if I forgot something and sure thing I did |

I have read the history of the region over and over and over. I was reading about Brusilev last night. I went all the way back to the Livs getting their asses crusaded. It never fucking stops and its the same bullshit with new nations.

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
I was 19… was hell of an adventure. Growing up watching Hollywood movies, you can’t blame me for my desire to see it My mother was all in for Donbas and against Maidan. But just like me, she thinks it’s a madness what’s going on right now and against it. She might will see the war with her own eyes, she lives near that area where you stated su-34 crashed. I can’t bring her here and she doesn’t want to move anywhere. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
People here would probably cheer if she died and it was shared on telegram as “Ukrainian forces eliminate traitor collaborators Probably try and say something funny about her dress even Anyway I hope your family is safe and the conflict ends soon. It is nice that she wants to stay at home and I can understand that, but for your family you want security. Godspeed |
