Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Kelly probably going to delete this but I think this video is powerful. 100 years old US WW2 vet telling his thoughts about US and meaning of life in general. Short video, maybe it will have the same effect on someone as it did on me BTW can military folks say what all those medals and other staff on his chest are stand for? |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
They were talking about filtration camps and “cleaning” on national TV political shows, so it was that normal for them. Also Zelenskiy could really stop the war, just like he promised he would do. During presidential elections Donbas ( under Ukraine control) was allowed to vote, people trusted him about this and Russian language and everything else what Donbas stood up for. And he failed them, either lied to their faces or once elected became an another US puppet dick sucking zero. There is more, after winning an election there was parliament election and guess what, they allowed Donbas to vote in presidential election, but didn’t let them do it during parliament elections haha it’s so fucked up that I can’t even put words together to describe it. They just took a big dump on their faces… it’s like - you will help us vote for Zelenskiy and in return we will not let you put your people into the parliament. Fucking bitches |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
It’s not like they are pulling forces from the borders to cover losses in Ukr. They are using Soviet equipment which they have stacked in thousands all over Russia. Nobody knows for sure how much stuff they have, but fact is it’s a lot and nowhere near to be depleted

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
This is kinda like saying we should have let the south do what they want. Admit it, eastern Ukraine full of idiots, kinda like lots of red states here, and they really cant make decisions for themselves. Russia is hell big I just realized, they could have just left if it really bugged them. Oh wait its their land blah blah blah. Well if good ol gggranddad had thought that way I wouldnt have the joy of being a nuisance here with you all. Civilians in warzones are cute and helpless and i want to help them but they are dumb!

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Hm. Can you explain why they moved a bunch of artillery and armored units from Irkutsk and the other corners of Russia? They did have a lot. But they lost a lot. This is war Duntez not fantasyland where a lot of people don't die, this is for both sides of this war, the Ukranians are doing the same thing at a lesser intensity it would seem, they're getting killed too. But they have home turf advantage, they have more motivation to fight in the first place. If Russian equipment and personnel was "nowhere near to be depleted" they wouldn't be sending T-62's, T-64's and sending in untrained conscripts and un-graduated military cadets to war. They also wouldn't be aggressively forcing Russian passports on citizens in Donbas, Zaporzhizia and Kherson. (able to be drafted as per Russian Federation law). This is what happens when an army has personnel and equipment shortages. |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
The fantasy land is with the ISW, whose sole purpose is to create as much as damage for Ukraine. Peace talks could have been had 3 months ago literally. Zelensky is not allowed to do shit, while all these fake propaganda reports create false security in the people staying behind or the ones fighting. Thinking they might have a chance as the rest of Ukraine is “winning” like you fools are seeing it

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
This is literally exactly how wars work, its just a big crazy party where no one knows exactly whats gonna happen. Humans rarely tell the truth in peacetime, why would they now? Businesses lie to their employees that everything is ok and go out of business unexpectedly. We will see who wins this, no one knows yet. But humans love to be able to magically guess whats going to happen. In my field we call this parts throwing. Check engine on, code says O2 sensor, fuck it sell the sensor. Oh shit light came back on, do you tell the truth to customer and do a real diag or double down on the bullshit guesses till you get it right? Well most people dont like the diagnostic guy cause he wont give you the answer until you pay him to figure it out. To the idiot the guy who has a fast answer seems like he knows what hes doing. Whats my point? I forgot, I think the short yellow bus is here kids, better get going!

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
It is absolute that Russia will destroy Ukraine to the point of signing some documents, or a point where there will be factions inside the country going ISIS. Wether this will take a few more months or years and if it takes 200.000 dead soldiers on one or both sides is up for debate. Zelensky or Putin getting capped are also possibilities. But no single “report” will predict any of this before the fact |

Re: Russia/Ukraine War Discussion/thoughts Thread
Just read the reports, they don't pull any punches about their thoughts on Ukraines operations. Its generally agreed something went wrong with the initial Kherson bridgehead. The initial success in the Battle of Kiev was due to letting units run amok and do as they saw fit. Roaming technoguerillas, I forget who said it but it sounds cool. Now its not working quite as well with the sky raining shells in a defensive line, so they tried to hold S and L but it didnt work. Popasna was where it really started to go wrong. And where the Russians figured out what they needed to do. Now the Himars are roaming out of range of counterbattery fire and Russia is going to have to sacrifice some VKS if they want to take them out. BUT, noe that the Himars are working we will probably ship them a few more. So even if Russia breaks the next line they are gonna face more technoguerillas, eventually they are gonna get hard with a counteroffensive. ZSU is just waiting for the right moment when they are overextended. That itself might fail and result in a nasty cauldron. Remember, Ukraine did mobilize, fresh units are somewhere and being well trained for the next phase.
