Gaza

An Israel/US proposal was floated today to divide Gaza into 2 zones: A reconstruction zone and a war zone. Israel would occupy and control the reconstruction zone with the stated purpose. The war zone would stay as such until Hamas either genuinely surrenders or is more thoroughly eliminated through continued war.

IDF leveled 3 more high rises.

Gaza

Night airstrike on Hamas fighters holed up in Mosque.

Recently announced, but already happened over the last months. Oct 7th perpetrators taken out.

They had been mostly identified by their own body cam vids. Just one example, most were Nova perps.


Ibrahim al-Layth, surprised + killed an IDF soldier in his dorm and uploaded it. Camp Re'im, Oct 7th 2023 in the very morning. Status: Martyred.


This gang streamed themselves gunning down an elderly Israeli civilian. Watched him bleeding out on the ground. Ofakim, Oct 7th. All taken out.



Today, village Kafr Qoud, near Jenin. Three terrorists martyred.

Vid1: Lebanon, Naqoura area. Mr Abd a-Sayed, Hezbollah commander, droned.

Vid2: Westbank, demolition. IDF destroys the house of the terrorist responsible killing Mrs Tzeela Getz and her unborn son. Happened back in May, he sniped her into the neck.

Vid3: Shop owner gunned down. Might be crime related, possibly no terrorist background. Pending.

Vid4: Three terror operatives killed in a cave near Jenin. They were spotted by drones and shot by snipers.

Current situation in Gaza, before todays escalation. IDF controlled area in green. Additionally, IDF seems to support four powerful Gazan family clans / militias which oppose Hamas.

All IDF forward and field bases in yellow. You can see the whole yellow line is along elevated positions and ridges. Rocky and elevated. While Hamas controls less favorable ground (sand dunes, low lands). Considering this, it becomes obvious how IDF initially planned to deal with the ceasefire.


Unfortnately things escalated today and right now its not entirely clear whether the ceasefire might be put in effect again.

First.
Hamas squad tried to infiltrate Israel. They were spotted and an IDF force managed to take them captive. After interrogation, they led them to their base of operation. A huge weapon stash was located there.


Second.
The last body Hamas handed over to Israel was no fallen Israeli hostage. Sounds like just body parts from a case which had been already closed.

Third.
Vid1 IDF allowed Red Cross to escort Hamas operatives into the IDF controlled yellow zone. Egypt got heavy excavators over the border. So, they digged out the body of a fallen hostage.

Vid2: Later, drone footage appeared where you can see that the body was placed there before. To be "found" by the Red Cross / Egyptian team. You can easily see the Red Cross operatives. Running around like the idiots they obviously are.

So, what was this about? One reason most likely to buy time: Hamas pretents that all the bodies need to be located and digged up. Which has to be a lenthy process. This way they have more time to deal with the clans and militias in Gaza. The more time, the more likely Hamas might survive. According to Israel they could just hand over most of the fallen hostages.

Turned out Hamas also wanted to get behind the lines to get access to a left behind weapon depot. Delicate matter that RC supported them this way. IDF spoiled this.


Fourth:
Hamas opened fire on IDF soldiers in Khan Yunis. Snipers and anti tank rockets. One soldier was wounded.

Sadly, the wounded soldier did not survive. Master Sergeant Yona Efraim Feldbaum, father of five.


Where it happened. Around 5pm Hamas terrorists emerged from a tunnel. Sgt Feldbaum was operating an engineering vehicle to remove debries and remaining Hamas infrastructure within Israeli controlled yellow zone. Despite the ceasefire they shot him dead. They attacked another engineering vehicle with RPGs, without inflicting further casualties. The Hamas sqd successfully retreated into the tunnels and escaped.

Israel, Judea and Samaria

Pic1 - Re-arrest of "juvenile" islamist for bombmaking, after he was released from prison on a prior hostage swap. WSJ reported that 250 of the 2000 islamists released on the latest hostage swap (for 20 live Israeli hostages) were serving life or very long sentences for murdering Israelis. Other released islamists were captured in combat.

Hostage swaps are one of the worst forms of injustice and the sole motivation for future hostage-taking. Shame on Israel for partaking. All hostages should be written off as dead or rescue targets, but never fodder for swaps.
