He looks so weak but judging by the blood on the chair, he looks to have already been hit in a previous blast.

He was thoroughly masked prior to death. The pic shows his lower right arm was mangled too. IDF reportedly claims that his finger was amputated at this point in time as well.

The detail of his dead body appears to show improvised tourniquets on his left finger stub and his right arm.

1. Yesterday at 10:00 a.m. a soldier from Battalion 450 spotted a suspicious figure coming out and entering a building in Tel Sultan in Rafah. The soldier pointed out the building to command, and an IDF platoon gradually began to move towards the target with the understanding that there were terrorists there.

2. Around 15:00, the IDF platoon activated tanks and infantry forces, and three figures were identified by an IDF surveillance drone entering and exiting from house to house. IDF suspected that these were terrorists who were probably among Sinwar's companions who went one step ahead of him to "open up the area for him." IDF troops fired at those terrorists. The terrorists were hit and began to disperse.

3. The squad Sinwar was in split up. Sinwar entered one structure and another part of the squad entered another structure. Sinwar went up to the second floor, and an IDF tank fired a shell into that building.

4. An IDF squad went into the building where Sinwar was located. Two grenades were thrown at Sinwar and his fighters. After that they broke contact and went back to continue operating drones.

6. After holding tight overnight, this morning the IDF forces reentered the building and located the bodies. At that point the IDF soldiers noticed that there was a resemblance between one of the bodies and Yahya Sinwar.
