Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
It is funny, in most of Europe we are told that the Muslims greatest enemy on earth is Jews. Also we are told the worst Muslim terrorist group is ISIS. Yet now we have ISIS patch wearing terrorists fighting against the Syrian government which supposedly helps Hezbolla who helps fight the Israeli occupation forces.. So we have members of the worst Muslim terrorist group helping Israel.. Does that even make sense? |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
Universities continue to be hotbed of antisemitism. Latest is Oxford's Israel "debate" where they invited an Israeli to the panel, then tossed him out after he showed photos of Hamas hostages. He popped on a fresh t-shirt as he was being escorted out. It was a typical hostile university antisemitic crowd and the dude is a brave soul for representing Israel in those conditions. He posted this afterward: I will tell more about what happened in the confrontation in Oxford, but one thing I can say for sure - Oxford was occupied by supporters of terrorism. 90% of the participants are distinctly anti-Israeli who admire Nasrallah and Sinwar and for them Israel has no right to exist. During the biased debate, extreme statements were heard such as praising and glorifying the October 7th massacre and claiming that it was an act of heroism by an oppressed people. When a speaker in the audience was crying for the residents of Gaza in a forced and unbelievable way, I pulled out a picture of the Muslim hostage Yosef and Hamza Alziadna and asked if she was crying for them too. One of the participants in the audience took the picture and threw it on the floor and others stepped on it. In the confrontation there I suffered curses and boos and threats, but one thing I was not ready to suffer, that our hostages would be humiliated. I demanded that they be taken out and I was not ready for the discussion to continue, even when the anti-Israel chairman who actually took part in the confrontation himself warned me and finally decided that I should be taken out of the hall. In front of the hostile and terrorist-supporting audience, just before I left the hall, I did one last thing - over the official tuxedo, I wore a T-shirt that I made sure to bring with me with a picture of Nasrallah with a big X on it and the caption 'Your terrorist hero is dead! We did that.'" |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
I knew backwards Islam and muslims were totally incompatible with the progressive West when I learned that they considered dogs unclean haram. I knew then that there was no hope for them. No hope at all. I even heard that muslim immigrants in Wales successfully lobbied to have communities where it was forbidden to walk your dog because it was disrespectful to the muslim population. I knew then that there was no hope for the modern-day UK. No hope at all |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
i think he means taking advantage. Israel bombing Iran backed groups, Hezbollah etc. in Syria for at least 10 years. Israel also fights Hezbollah in Lebanon. IS wants to take over, at least first, Islamic countries and create a caliphate. Israel are too strong for them to take over. They even suicide bombed a Hezbollah stronghold in Lebanon 9 years ago and now russia is more occupied in Ukraine it created a perfect storm for IS to try again in Syria. IS is Iraqi origine (anti Shia) and Iran (Shia) hates them. Turkey changed its relation with Syria after the violent crackdown on protests in 2011 and especially after a Turkish reconnaissance jet was intercepted and shot down by the Syrian army. Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE/IRAN/LEBANON Conflict Discussion Thread VI (2024)
Who said that they are fighting to help Israel? The cause and effect chain between Israel and rebels in syria is disconnected. There are many factions fighting in those regions, and there are many different factions of ISIS and isis affiliated groups, some worse than others, each fighting for their own reasons, for their own cause. According to your logic, if one terrorist group goes after another terrorist group and kills them, then you can say that the first terrorist group was helping Europe and USA, because they killed terrorists, and terrorists are the enemies of the west. A simpler analogy would be to imagine that your neighbor is a hardened criminal and a gang member. One day, another rival gang breaks into his home and tortures him to death. The next day, the police comes to investigate and they arrest you, because the rival gang that killed your neighbor helped you. They got rid of a criminal, and you as a law abiding citizen hate criminals. Therefore, you must be affiliated with the other gang and are somehow responsible for the death of your neighbor. |
