Dunno whether its interesting, but after this German partygirl Shani Louk, another posterwoman of the 'get them free' campaign turned out to be actually never taken hostage. Sgt Roni Eshel, 19 yo, already died at the very morning of Oct 7th, as Al Qassem terrorists raided the situations room of the border observers on Nahal Oz IDF base near Gaza. The Nahal Oz observation and signals intelligence unit, which was almost entirely anhilated on Oct 7, has been rebuild and is operational again. Mainly from called in reservists and survivors (the ones which were not there that day). The unit has been redeployed to camp Be'eri, which is farther away from the border and you finally see some of them carrying weapons. At least lesson learned.
Important enough that MP Netanjahu in person showed up to celebrate sabbath with them. He also referred to their slaughtered comrades from Oct 7th in his speech and expressed his condolences. Wish he would have done something to prevent this in the first place...



Since IDF controls the coastline, they opened a new evac route for civilians today. Instruction flyers for the people of Gaza:

1. The IDF will allow southbound traffic on the Saladin axis from 09:00 to 16:00.

2. The IDF announces that it controls the Shati refugee camp (located on the coast in the northwest of Gaza City) and allows the movement of refugees to the south on the coastal axis as well.

3. The IDF will carry out a tactical-humanitarian truce of the military activity inside the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip in order to allow civilians to leave the place. The truce will last from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

4. If Hamas prevents the evacuation of civilians, they are invited to contact the phone number published by the IDF spokesperson.

Last night, IDF announced the killing of Hamas commander Ahmed Tsiam and over 100 other Hamas terrorists of a regional defense unit. Their HQ was inside the Alborak shool, which got bombed. Near the Ranteesi hospital. IDF claims they prevented civilians from leaving the hospital.
