IDF uses them for a lot of the media because a lot of the terrorist groups believe if you are killed by a woman you cannot enter heaven. So it's not that there's a ton of females compared to males, IDF concentrates the media footage on them.

I hear that alot^^ Is it actually true or just a meme?

As I wrote, I already woundered that they use female combat troops in Gaza. Especially after reading about female medics in Gaza, which aren't even allowed to leave their armored troop carriers in hot areas. Lead to complaints how difficult it is to attend wounded in confined spaces .... like inside a tank.

The only real deployments imho happened on Oct 7th. Either why nothing else was aviable and ready to march. Or why Hamas directly attacked the Border Outposts and Homefront Command bases.

Female IDF soldiers when they go into battle should take large, unfed pigs on leashes with them so when they mortally wound jhad terrorists they can release the pig and let it finish the bastard off, like Mason Verger (Gary Oldman) near the end of Hannibal.
