Well, I prefer the natural look. But...other people, other preferrences. I won't judge them.

My last post this year, kind of an New Year's speech from Cpl Megidish.

Yesterday, freed IDF hostage Ori Megidish appeared in a brief IDF podcast. She was taken with 6 other soldiers from a shelter in Nahal Oz Outpost in the morning of October 7th. I read she was ordered to not give interviews. So beside a childish tiktok-like vid, thats her first statement after the she was rescued.

Quick recap: She (left one) worked as survilence/intelligence soldier, responsible for the observation systems of the border fence. That was their situation room.




Ofc they did tiktok these dancing videos^^ Like the pic above, not all are alive anymore. Noa Marciano (l) was killed in captivity, Shay Ashram (r) was shot as Al Qassem raided the base.



Now the sitroom looks like this. Parents were allowed to visit the site 2 months after Hamas burned it down. With almost everyone inside the command building. Some of them uploaded pics on social media. Mind the soul candles at those workstations, were some victims were supposedly logged in. The ground etc. had been already cleaned up, older pics look a bit more harrowing.



Ori M. however wasn't on duty that morning, so she went into their unit's bomb shelter. She appears on several vids from there. Its said she's the one in the middle of the 3 girls in the background. Dunno, looks a bit like it.




Also briefly appears (left one, its said so ...) in a farewell call of a girl named Hadar Cohen. As a mortar shell hit the structure, the cam went shaky and she got on screen.




Next would be this (left), Hamas footage after the shelter had been raided. 7 taken captive, 8 killed inside, some escaped from that shelter (for the moment).

Wow, excellent medium-closeup footage of the dying plate carrier guy What was the munitions the IDF used here? He seemed to be away from the explosion so I can only imagine what horrible, shredding shrapnel spun his way, tearing right through him. Just seeing how modern grenades work with the "cube" wire is disturbing.
