ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of this particular conflict, there are many photos/videos of injured and deceased civilians. It's no longer required to include a civilian warning in each separate post as there are just too many. Anyone sensitive to images of deceased civilians should presume that most of the posts in these Israel/Palestine conflict threads will contain them. CHILD WARNINGS ARE STILL REQUIRED EVERY TIME (see below). Thank you. For the last page of the previous media thread go HERE. Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
"A short while ago, Red Cross representatives transferred the 6 Israeli released hostages to Egypt. The released hostages are currently making their way to Israel through Egypt to the meeting point with our soldiers at Kerem Shalom. Security officials will verify the identity of the released hostages at the meeting point. The families of the hostages are being updated by IDF representatives with the latest available information." Note the grid photo includes the two girls from a previous post. VIDEO: Looks like it happened with her after all. Doesn't sound like people are buying it. "Even in the seventh phase, Hamas cynically uses the abductees to improve its image by presenting as if the abductees are returning from a hotel... the food is wonderful... the people are nice... There is no limit to cynicism and cruelty."

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
Posted 1 hour ago with no media: "Red alert a short time ago in the towns surrounding the Strip, the fourth time since 05:42 this morning. (Hamas violated the hudna before it ended. The IDF only started attacking after 07:00, the official time of the end of the hudna)." AND "IDF Spokesperson: Hamas violated the operational pause, and in addition, fired toward Israeli territory. The IDF has resumed combat against the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip." AND "At 07:00 the hudna ended without being renewed. The Hamas Interior Ministry announced a series of attacks by fighter jets throughout the Gaza Strip at this time Palestinian channels report that IDF planes are attacking the Abu Eskander area in the north of the Gaza Strip. Attacks from warplanes are also reported in the Absan area in eastern Khan Yunis (south of the Gaza Strip)." === "Jabalia, north of the Gaza Strip a short time ago" "Attack on a house in the Yavne refugee camp in Rafah (south of the Gaza Strip)." UPDATE: "The number of dead in the IDF attack in Rafah rose to 6 (the Adwan family home was attacked). The Palestinians report casualties in the attack on the Qandil family home in the Alma'azi refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip" "Palestinian channels report the movement of thousands of Gazans from east of Khan Yunis to the west, with the renewal of fire. Before the hudna, the IDF requested the evacuation of the population from various areas in eastern Khan Yunis."

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
From Palestinian source: 1. "Israeli Occupation Forces asking civilians to leave then targeting them" 2. "The Israeli media: Israeli occupation soldiers fired shots at a settler, mistaking him for a Palestinian during the Jerusalem operation. His condition is extremely critical."

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
That's from Oct 14: Hamas published a video claiming that Israel had bombed displaced civilians. In the slow motion, there is no trace of any missile from the air. There is no doubt that it was a mine planted by Hamas before its withdrawal, and it fell to the displaced Palestinians.

He is pronounced dead by now. Pretty hard to understand why they shot him, when he supposedly spoke hebrew to the soldiers and posed no threat. Excluding terrorists, 4 died at this bus stop. |

Not sure if it was a mine because this looks like a fuel explosion of some sort. Usually military explosives are a quick flash, and this fireball hung around for quite a bit of time longer than a mine/bomb/missile would be. Unless it triggered under a vehicle that was for some unknown reason full of fuel containers.

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
I know the war is back on and there will be some good footage coming out but if you want to read for a few minutes, here is the story of a Pilipino, non Israeli, non Jewish, hostage and the really bad conditions he went through. I am surprised he is not dead from being given saltwater to drink most of the time. Article below Source - "Gaza hostage recalls eating toilet paper to survive November 30, 2023 Jimmy Pacheco was often given only half a pita a day and salty water, and didn’t think he’d survive his six-and-a-half week ordeal. A recently released Philippine man who had been abducted by Hamas terrorists October 7 from Kibbutz Nir Oz told CBN Asia of needing to eat toilet paper to stay alive in captivity. In the interview, Jimmy Pacheco, a caretaker who was freed in the first tranche of the hostages-for Palestinian prisoners’ exchange Friday night, said that he didn’t think he’d survive the whole ordeal. He was often given only half a pita a day for food. “I didn’t eat it all at once. Every time my stomach growled, I ate a little – but it wasn’t enough,” he said. In desperation, he decided to “supplement” the tiny diet with toilet paper he was given when he was permitted to go to the bathroom. “I didn’t use it – I put it in my pocket,” Pacheco said. “It looked like we were 40 meters underground, and that’s why the walls were damp. I attached the paper I had saved to the walls, until it got wet. Then I put it in my mouth and ate it – and that way my stomach wasn’t empty.” Before-and-after pictures of the caretaker showed how noticeably thinner he was after his six and a half weeks of confinement. He was also given salty water to drink, he said, and “I told myself there was no way I would survive because I have a history of kidney problems.” For the first two weeks the 32-year-old married father of three said he was kept in “a prison cell,” where he “couldn’t do anything inside. I felt like I was going crazy. I kept wondering, ‘Why did they bring me here? I didn’t do anything wrong.’” He was then taken to a tunnel where there were many hostages. They slept on mattresses on the floor, and were given a toothbrush, and one change of clothes – a shirt and shorts. The first time he saw sunlight and felt fresh air was the day he was released, he said, but the terrorists only told him that he was being transferred to another tunnel, so he did not know until the last minute that he was going to be free. “I started crying when we left the tunnel,” Pacheco related. “I got down on my knees and thanked God.” The caretaker also described what happened on October 7, when some 3,000 Hamas terrorists invaded over 20 Gaza envelope communities, and dozens came to Nir Oz. He ran to the safe room with his 80-year-old employer, Amitai Ben Zvi, ignoring his shouts to “Go, run away, save yourself!” The terrorists broke in and shot Ben Zvi to death in his bed. That was perhaps Pacheco’s worst moment. He had been hiding behind the bed and “I saw how they murdered my employer – without him having the ability to defend himself,” he recounted. “They said I was a soldier, while they pointed weapons at my head. One of the terrorists fired an automatic weapon near my ear, until the bullets ran out.” He held onto the thoughts of his wife and children to get him through it all, he said, adding that he felt “fine,” and even that “I’ve grown up, I’ve become stronger,” as a result of his horrific experience. The Ben Zvi family was overjoyed by his return, with Amitai’s sons coming to the hospital where the released hostages were taken for medical checkups. Ido and Gilad told Israeli media that “It was moving to the point of tears to hug Jimmy. He had a special relationship with dad, he took care of him for four years and trusted him. We felt that a family member had come home and not a caregiver or a foreign worker.” Pacheco was the single Philippine citizen among 23 Thais whom Hamas released among the six groups of Israelis over the last six days, in a deal that was orchestrated separately through the Iranian government and did not involve Israel giving up Palestinian prisoners accused and convicted of security offenses. A total of 77 Israeli hostages have been released so far, in exchange for over 200 jailed Palestinians. Four of them were freed before the agreement was finalized, as Hamas “humanitarian gestures.” One hostage, IDF soldier Ori Megidish, was rescued late last month by IDF forces from a home in which she was being held captive in the Gaza Strip." |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
Another Filipino hostage claimed that israeli ones were held in cages, whipped with wires, getting just bad food supply. Also UNRWA staff was involved in locking the hostages away. Even physicans were said to be involved to keep hostages captive within their offices and clinics. https://www.jpost.com/middle-east/article-775777 They all seem to be guilty. Its not just Hamas, its all of them. Was also evidend as one hostage managed to escape during an air strike, but as he tried to make his way out of Gaza, he was spotted and returned to Hamas by 'innocent' Gazans. But ye...especially haunting is the role of the UN institutions, especially UNRWA, which cleary seems to work for Hamas and with Hamas. While getting funded mainly by US and EU tax payer money. This really needs to stop. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Footage: 1-4 December 2023
"The IDF dropped flyers in the eastern Khan Yunis area where the residents of Karara, Kharbat Khaza'a, Absan and Bani Sahila are required to move to the Rafah area, as Khan Yunis is a dangerous combat zone." "With the fighting resuming, Gazans are moving towards the UNRWA shelters and schools throughout the Strip." 1. "An IDF attack on the route connecting Rafah and Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip." 2-4. PROPAGANDA WARNING - Someone asked me about this yesterday and I didn't know what he was referring to. Now I know. LOL. "At the Shahada Al-Aqsa hospital in the center of the Gaza Strip, Palestinians play with dolls and tell the media that it is a baby who was killed in an IDF attack." EDIT: I am now seeing that Palestinian channels are, indeed, posting these as real children.
