IDF commando combat team raids UNRWA compound used by Hamas

IDF fighters under the command of Division 99 raided a combat compound of Hamas terrorists that was previously used as a UNRWA compound.

Magellan and Egoz forces raided the compound under the direction of the Intelligence Division and arrested terrorists who were trying to escape from the area.

During the operation, the forces conducted face-to-face battles with terrorist squads that had fortified themselves in the compound and located parts for assembling a UAV, observation crews and many means of warfare including missile drones, rockets, machine guns, mortars, charges, grenades and more.

Near the compound on which the forces raided, an underground route that served as a significant asset of Hamas's military intelligence was destroyed in the past and passed under the building that served as UNRWA's central headquarters in the Gaza Strip.

In further searches, the forces raided a university where the fighters located an underground laboratory for the production of explosives and weapons.

UN chief pleads for Palestinian refugee agency funding

Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Friday pleaded for donors to fund the embattled UN agency for Palestinian refugees, warning there was no alternative despite Israeli criticism of the body.

At a pledging conference, Guterres warns that the Palestinians would lose a “critical lifeline” without the agency known as UNRWA.

“Let me be clear — there is no alternative to UNRWA,” he says.

“Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse in Gaza — somehow, appallingly, civilians are being pushed into ever deeper circles of hell.”

Philippe Lazzarini, the chief of UNRWA, says the agency will be unable to function beyond August without receiving more funding.

A UN emergency appeal for $1.2 billion for the Palestinians by the end of the year, along with an appeal for neighboring countries, has received less than 20 percent of the funding it needs, Lazzarini said.

Israel, long critical of UNRWA, alleged in January that a number of the agency’s employees participated in the October 7 attack by Hamas.

The plea comes the same day as Israel said the military located weapons and a command room used by Hamas at UNRWA’s headquarters in Gaza City.

I just wonder what these attacks would be like if they were using quality RPGs and not the home made shitty ones, I am sure the IDF is happy about that.

You have to hit a modern tank just rights with a good Russian RPG, i think HAMAS gotta get pretty lucky with these. But who knows, maybe stats will come out after the war

Source "The commander of Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade, Rafa’a Salameh, was killed in an IDF airstrike in the southern Gaza Strip this morning, the Saudi al-Hadath channel reports.

According to the report, Muhammad Deif, the commander of Hamas’s military wing, who the IDF says was also targeted in the strike, has been seriously wounded."

IDF was going after Deif for like the 8th time, but if they got him, would be a massive win. Lots of collateral damage though

Interesting scene, very small impact crater, maybe from like a M203 grenade launcher? I dont know if IDF are using small mortars when going house to house. But the impact crater is right in the middle of both of them. But these two people did not have a good day...
