Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread V (2024)
The IDF operation in Rafah uncovered the fate of another hostage. The dead body of Amit Buskila (28) was located and recovered. She was abducted from Nova festival on Oct 7th 2023. There are no further details yet, but considering the circumstances I guess its another case of casualty which was kept secret by Hamas. To make everyone think that more of the hostages might be still alive. Her last call to daddy included. Last known status back then: Wounded by gunshot. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread V (2024)
Update regarding the hostage situation: In fact 3 dead bodies were recovered. And indeed.... all three were already slain at Oct 7th. In case of Shani Louk it was already known. She was declared dead as CSI teams found bone fragments from her inner ear at the Nova Festival site. At least she finally gets a proper burial... Shani's last alive photo near that infamous disabled Merkava tank. Alot Nova partygoers, who survived the initial attack, ran to this tank and hoped for safety. Unfortnately it was already knocked off with nothing than dead soldiers inside. A second wave of terrorists eventually attacked this place, killing and abducting alot of these people. However, the other two hostages were thought to be alive.... . |

Yea, I feel like they aren’t going to find many alive. Once they start getting through the tunnels, they are bound to find many more bodies. I’d almost guarantee they don’t recover more than half of the dead hostages bodies at all…if I was the Hamas leader, I’d destroy the corpses and ensure nothing can be recovered so that way I have a permanent bargaining chip under the hope that the hostages are still alive somewhere. That being said. I don’t know if I believe that there are even 15 alive hostages. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread V (2024)
From war footage forum: The woman wasn't brainwashed. She was an Israeli haltingly speaking a non-native language to provide an English language interview. I thought she did good. Pretty much all I can do in other languages is order beer. Basic message = Win wars by killing the enemy, not feeding the enemy. Nice to see the Israeli citizens stepping up and helping the war effort by cutting off Hamas (UN) supply chains. Meanwhile, what does Biden do? Orders US mil to build a Hamas supply pier that can't be blocked off by Israeli citizenry. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread V (2024)
I really like the US, but what they did the last years is just questionable. Ditching Afg and Iraq in the most chaotic way imaginable. So they directly got back unter Islamist / Iranian rule. Even US retreat from South Vietnam looked like a victory compared to that bs^^ Disengaging in Africa and Levante (Syria), letting the Russians in. Most of central Africa is about to get under Russian influence. Syria is under Russian influence. Stopped arms deliveries to Ukr for several months and caused alot damage to their war effort. Emboldening Russia to escalate (showing weakness = escalation). Pacific: Similar to Africa and Levante. China pushing into the Archipelagos and Islands of the South West Pacific area by supporting alot native movements to gain influence. Korea: Allowing North Korea to go nuclear without any attempt to stop them. Iran totally unchecked and will most likely get the Bomb within the next months. It doesn't look like US has the obligation to stop them. Otherwise this 100+ missile attack on Israel and US bases + US ships by Iran and its proxies would have been a valid casus belli: To strike and to take out their nuclear facilities. Israel getting permanently bashed by the Biden administration. Weakening its political position and emboldening Israels enemies. Apply an arms embargo for its closest ally amidst a war and finally the most stupid act: Building a harbor to supply a terrorist organisation which surprise attacked in a Pearl Harbor or 9/11 style and even holds US citizen hostage. Watch the image of this retarded pier USN built for Yahya Sinwar. Its the end of an era. This woke US agenda just means that the world is getting slowly taken over by all imaginable autocrat states and terrorist entities. In war you need to fight the enemy...instead of supplying him. You need to fight the enemy instead of endless, pointless negotiations over some hostages which are most likely mostly dead anyways. Finally, in times of war theres no substitute for a victory. Next hostage turned out to be dead since October 7th. The body of Ron Benjamin was retrieved from Gaza in one of the ongoing operations. Meanwhile IDF released details about the other three bodies from yesterday's announcement: They were all three located in a Hamas tunnel in Rafah. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread V (2024)
One of the helicopters in a convoy carrying Iran's president Ebrahim Raisi had a rough landing, the country's interior minister, Ahmed Vahidi, confirmed to state TV, adding that rescue teams are being hampered by difficult weather conditions. Iran’s Interior Minister Ahmed Vahidi confirmed to state TV that there had been an accident involving one of the helicopters in Raisi’s convoy, but did not say whether the president had been onboard that aircraft. According to some local media, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian had been travelling in the same helicopter as Raisi. Raisi was traveling in Iran’s East Azerbaijan province. State TV described the area of the incident happening as being near Jolfa, a city on the border with with the nation of Azerbaijan, some 600 kilometres (375 miles) northwest of the Iranian capital, Tehran. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread V (2024)
4 Senior officials were on board. Iranian President Raissi, the foreign minister and two others I don't recognize. Last photo of the delegation before they took off. The crash site/area. Vid from the flight included. Probably from before they landed to do their last stop. No details mentioned. Was it a crash or just rough langing? Maybe its nothing...maybe they're all gone^^ |
