I feel the same way. Like 30 years ago no western politician would have bargained for hostages with a terror organisation on the highest diplomatic level.

Its one thing to raid almost completly demilitarized Israeli borderlands with nothing than undercrewed surveillance bases, full of female non-combat soldiers. Its a different matter to compete vs. a partially mobilized and aware IDF. The best arabs might hope for is Joe Biden and his administration. He might pressure Israel to halt the war.

Current situation. You might see that IDF just continues its 'divide et impera' approach, cutting the Strip in several parts. They go in, raze and kill whats linked to Hamas and retreat. Observing. Waiting. Going in as soon as they have to suppress Hamas again (Like Al Shifa raid 1 + 2).

Telegram channels claim IDF just plans to hold on the Netzarim corridor and supposedly the Philadelphi corridor next to Egyptian border. These cleared and fortified corridors were used to easily jump in forces if neccessary. Additionally the Egyptian border corridor will seal off Hamas from its Allies and supply routes. IDF wants to avoid complete occupation of Gaza, since their troops would be easily ambushed in many different ways. This long term approach should conserve Israeli forces and eventually grind down Hamas. It also means the phase of high intensity operations might be over now. From this point on remaining Hamas operatives will be attacked employing raid-like tactics.









Vid: Al Qassam published a new hostage related video. Claiming that yesterdays hostage rescue op caused the demise of three Israeli hostages. The don't reveal any identity, the bodies are censored.

No one knows whether its real or not.

This one actually looks Arabian. A lot of the anti-Israel protesters on the footage look like recycled goth Antifa protesters recycled from a few years back...in addition to a new batch of university students and faculty who haven't dropped out yet.

I think that US pressure on Israel to stop this operation is very symbolic, in fact Israel has free hand to do anything he wants to
