Terrorism is an ever evolving situation. It has never fully been "beaten" in my lifetime and I don't think it's going anywhere, ever. In fact, it continues to evolve and manifest itself it multiple different ways.

The United States does indeed meddle in other state business and many people profit from it in war and conflict. I don't believe those people actually give two shits on the outcome. This, too, is a complicated and slower evolving situation that I don't see going away, ever.

As long as the US and other countries continue meddling, terrorism will exist.

Once upon a time I was pretty clueless of how the world works in these regards but about 20 years ago I discovered I was seriously lying to myself. The hardest step in that discovery was acceptance.

Arab/Iranian terror groups will go after the West no matter whether we meddle or not. Along with a good dose of xenophobia (on both sides), it's mostly about them being hateful, resentful and jealous of the west for living a standard of living and having a freedom most arabs can only dream about.
