Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
Yeah, These people should try protesting against anything in Palestine, under Hamas rule. They don't realize that the country they support would not even allow them to protest, let alone approve any of the Western values they currently enjoy. More hardcore Hamas radicals would perhaps even kill these protesters because they see them as traitors, who chose the west. |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
*KIDS HAVING FUN IN A WARZONE WARNING* 1. "A pit claimed to have been caused by an IDF bomb near a school in Khan Yunis has turned a into a slide for children." AND LATER... "Sources in the know tell me that the crater from the school in Khan Younis, which became a slide, is more likely to have been created by the collapse of a tunnel and not by a bomb dropped by an airplane. This is due to the fact that there is no damage around the pit and the paving is intact." 2. "A closer look at the ground collapse in the school area in Khan Yunis. The Palestinians claim it was the result of a bomb dropped by an Israeli fighter jet. In actuality, you can see better in this video that there is no damage to the surroundings that would indicate that a bomb fell on the site."

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
1. "Footage from the Jordanian medical aid parachute last night over the Gaza Strip." 2. I cannot verify what is being said in this video. ""The Emperor’s New Clothes" - the Gaza version Aljazeera's live broadcast continues to produce entertaining surprises, not always as originally intended... The Al Jazeera reporter tries to extract words of praise from a Gazan girl for the Gazan military operatives and asks her in a very guided way: What do you have to say to the "resistance" - they tell the world that you children are fighters. What would you like to say to the "resistance"? The girl answers immediately and without delay: "... they (the resistance activists - AA) are in the tunnels and all the victims of the war are civilians, children and women...""

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
1. "Washington: Neturi Karta's demonstration of support for the Palestinians against the background of the war in Gaza." 2. "Boston, USA: Demonstration of support for the Palestinians against the background of the war in Gaza." Not that anyone asked, but I believe there is a difference between supporting Palestinian human beings versus Palestinian Hamas Terrorists. Some are concerned for Palestinians who are not a part of, or do not want to be under Hamas rule. I was taken aback by the frequency and size of these protests at first but this is the only explanation for these protests. They're not supporting Hamas, they're supporting other Palestinians. This fact is often blurred and forgotten. There are normal human beings here trying to support other normal human beings. Normal Palestinian humans who because they've been oppressed by Hamas, are also oppressed by Israel and much of the rest of the world just sees them as one in the same. Having said all that, I am sure there are people intermingled within with nefarious motives. There always is.

"The city of Batman, in eastern Turkey: a rally in support of Hamas. Some of the participants dressed up as the spokesman for the military wing of Hamas, Abu Abida."

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
Exactly! Well said. This is something I have been trying to convey in my real life (as opposed to my screen life I do not agree with Hamas or their actions on October 7th, and the killings of innocents in Israel is disgusting. I have compassion for the Palestinians who have been oppressed by Hamas and Israel. I also do not agree with Israel bombing the shit out of everything when they know there are hostages, children, and unarmed people. I get Hamas has been using residential areas, schools, hospitals, etc. as cover and shoot RPGs or whatever they are called, but Israel doesn't have to bomb them and kill innocents and call it a calamity of war. If Israel's military is so great, they could have sent in ground troops before bombing everything. Pro-Palestine ≠ Pro-Hamas |

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
I totally agree with this in theory. However, the bombings were necessary to weaken Hamas. From Israel's point of view... sending troops in without weakening strongholds, tunnels, and Hamas nests would have been suicide. It sucks that the power system in Gaza is set up the way it is, as you stated above. It is hard to watch all these people caught in the middle dying. On both sides.

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
agree with above not all lives are equal... facts of our world. talk talk talk about "human rights" no one is risking shit. Israel actually has lives on the line.... and I bet their logical process is same as anyone else's, "fuck their civilians, we are not risking our own men." want an example? USA didn't invade Japan mainland, nuked 2 cities and saved many US marines. |
