Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
There's a lot of Hamas shooting a RPG at a armored vehicle then runs away. Problem with that is.... modern armor are able to survive rpg rounds. You need videos of burned out tanks like the ones we had in Ukraine to show that you are actually doing some damage..... Since there's lack of that, I assume it's a fruitless struggle. |

Yeah, and they cut the stream off as soon as the warhead detonates. So far 39 IDF soldiers reported KIA since the Gaza offensive started. Considering the difficulties of this battlefield, it could be much worse. Maybe Hamas still holds back its forces.

The issue is that they give away their position and they actually don't want to be rewarded with their virgins as quickly as they pretend they do. Only way they could continue filming urban activities is if someone else is recording the action. |

Thank you for your response in the previous thread. I accept there are cultural differences and need to move on. I didn't realize there are still areas with power. My first thought from the pic was what a major fire hazard. |

No worries. Yes, the photo made me a little less paranoid about some of my surge protector set ups here at home.

"The abductees who appeared in the wretched and propaganda video of the Islamic Jihad are Hana Katzir, a resident of Kibbutz Nir Oz, 76 years old (her son Elad Katzir is also held captive by the Nazis in Gaza) Vigil Yaakov, a 12-year-old boy also from Kibbutz Nir Oz, who suffers from severe allergies. (Yigal was kidnapped together with his 16-year-old brother Or and his father Yair Yaakov and his partner Mirav Tal)" "*Breaking - Hezbollah withdraws 1,500 of its forces from Syria." I see some Russian flags and Z's in there too.

Re: ISRAEL/PALESTINE Conflict Discussion Thread III (2023)
Israel has agreed to daily, four-hour pauses in operations inside Gaza to allow more civilians to leave the northern part of the enclave and facilitate an increase in humanitarian aid entering from Egypt, the White House said Thursday. The pauses are to begin “today,” National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told reporters, though Israel had offered similar windows for civilians to evacuate earlier in the week. The Israel Defense Forces’ statements Thursday did not mention an agreement for daily pauses, and did not offer specifics about their length. Asked to respond to the subsequent White House description, Elyon Levy, spokesman for office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, confirmed that Israel would continue to allow a “window” for the evacuation of civilians along a specific corridor. President Biden confirmed Thursday that he had asked Netanyahu, in a Monday call, for a three-day pause to allow for a possible release of 239 hostages being held by Hamas inside Gaza, including 10 Americans, as well to facilitate humanitarian aid deliveries and the exit of foreigners from the enclave. He also again rejected a more comprehensive cease-fire, as has Israel. |
