I disagree. ISIS has an attacker's mindset, they take initiative . their main goal is to win, regardless of losses. We lost in afghanistan because of our preeocuppation with taking losses, and that was the main goal, which is a perversion of military thought. FAt well paid well stocked government forces, even the fantastically rich americans, could not beat these rude, poorly trained irregular forces. they had the home field advantage, a religious zeal that we have no equivalent of, and the use of terror as a weapon, which regular forces cannot.

Man I am not keeping up on current events. Iran has military barracks in Iraq, and ISIS is not only killing Iraqis, but killing the Iranians that have now moved into Iraq... I gotta watch more Fox News for the truth...
