They would most likely have suffered such severe spinal cord trauma from the blast that they would have died instantly, just the same as if the head had been removed completely. I don't imagine any of them would have felt any pain at all.

Cannot imagine any pain would have been felt but who are we to make such assumptions. I am not sure about you but for me, going out like that with a group of other people all at once doesn't seem as poor of a choice as being beheaded alone. |
