Yeah, this was stupid and not at all what the caption claims. The guy was dead instantly, nothing could be done for him. And the other soldier didn't use him as a shield, he just left the carcass where it fell. Lame.

Ive watched the video several times. The guy did use him as a shield but only because the guy landed literally right in front of him in an open field. He didn't move or adjust himself after the body fell.. It worked out pretty well for him to be honest. Any logical person would stay there and keep loading. Also... I keep trying to figure out... Was he hit prior to the throat shot? It looks like their is a bullet exit from his rucksack but it's bloody... Like maybe he was hit prior to retreating. I can't tell |

it is still better than contributing towards his team to deal with an another dead comrade killed while retrieving a corpse in middle of gunfight when it could be done later as well
