Looks like he took a shot through the throat or neck judging from how fast the blood came up and the sounds of him choking on blood. Blood filled his lungs pretty damn quick.

I have a friend, who is a recently retired USArmy 68W1, watch this vid several times. His opinion is: “the combatant received (what is likely 7.62mm) a round to the aorta/top-heart. Thus the ‘flushing of blood’ from the mouth after it quickly entered both the esophagus & lung areas. The injuries sustained are too major to repair. * to add, even if this injury happened in front of a prepared, skilled surgeon and team, at that moment, the individual would not and could not be saved. An injury and shot like that, is basically near-instant death, every time. Nothing can be done to save them.” |
