Re: ISIS Executes a Russian Intelligence Officer in the Backseat of a Car
Devices such as video cameras have audio compressor/limiter components to keep audio dynamics within a fairly narrow audio amplitude. A compressor circuit compresses the audio amplitude to contain it within a usable and reproducible range. A limiter circuit limits the audio amplitude to make sure (that most of) the input is limited to a level that will be recordable as a useable signal and not just distortion. Often, a sound will be recorded 'as if' it's more quiet - or - more loud than in a live setting. |

He didn't look scared, or try to cringe away. He was probably relieved he wasn't getting torched alive, or a slow beheading, or run over by a fuckin' tank. |

He knew he'd never make it out of the handcuffs. I'm sure this was a long day.
