This kind of videos are too weird to me. First, it's striking its technical quality. Also, I don't know why victims don't resist. If you are going to die, why don't you complicate things trying to running away or something like that? Fighters with sandals but carrying modern cameras to record in HD...
One word: TORTURE. Not to mention that they're out in the middle of nowhere... Besides being handcuffed and blindfolded with no shoes they would be running from men with machine guns riding horses. There is no running away.
They can stay for an easy execution or they can run, either way they will die. If they run they would probably have to endure who knows how much torture before they die an unbelievably painful death... You've seen some examples; being drowned in a cage, or hog tied and hung from a frame to be roasted/burned to death, having their head cut off with a small, dull bladed knife, etc.
The very sad reality of being a prisoner of ISIS is that being blown up for a propaganda film is a mercy.
