IED Southern Iraq
Saraya Thorat Al-Ashrin Al-Thaniyah group claimed responsibility for the attack. As a result of this attack, one of the vehicles carrying American equipment caught fire. This happened on August 11th 2020. On August 5, in a separate attack, the same group targeted a US-led coalition convoy with an IED in Tal al-Lahm area north of city of Nasiriyah.
