Exactly correct, sir, you did find the objective critical focus here. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union until now, it WAS the whole world in on it. The nose of the shell has a clockwork timing mechanism you set for the distance you want the shell to explode at. My best business friend was an arty officer, he said when they shot a beehive round i Vietnam the entire jungle would go silent, birds, insects, Vietcong and other animals, everything dead or in hiding.

Nowadays we call it the canister round. They're fun to shoot, especially at night looking through your thermals. Tungsten coated ball bearings. Tank shotgun. Shreds entire infantry platoons at 2-500 meters.
