Re: Female Ukrainian Sniper Takes Out Opponents
Agreed... But to a point. It's a shitty situation, and the current administration (ANY administration, for that matter) is in a political hard-to-win situation. They don't dare send conventional US forces into the fight, but if sanctions aren't enough, then what do? A-10s wouldn't be an illogical choice, but not knowing the range, etc of of them, you'd also need adequate support troops for even a single squadron, I'd imagine. However, regardless of anything else, I'd bet $20 that the US already has SOF troops on the ground, helping conduct non-conventional actions (PsyOps, etc) against Russian forces. I'm sure there will always be hawks in the DoD who want nothing more than to go up against the Russian military, no matter how they go about it. Just don't let them get captured. |

Re: Female Ukrainian Sniper Takes Out Opponents
A10’s would be a liability. I don’t see how they will be survivable in this theatre. Ukraine is wide open with little hills. It will be extremely difficulty to go low enough to mask an attack run like an attack helicopter can. Without the ability to make a sneaky attack, It would be extremely vulnerable to AAA, auto cannon fire as well as man pads. We can already observe that the similar Su25 is suffering the highest loss rates on both sides. |

I dont think putin really wants to invade the entire country but he wont tolerate being surrounded by NATO,EU on his boarders so he'll level the country to the ground or they'll remain a buffer zone. It makes sense.

Re: Female Ukrainian Sniper Takes Out Opponents
I beg to differ. The A-10 Warthog was developed to defeat Soviet armor and has been upgraded several times to stay up to par with advanced armor. It fly's slow for pinpoint accuracy but fast enough that the tank it is targeting cannot get a bead on it. |

Re: Female Ukrainian Sniper Takes Out Opponents
The A-10 was indeed specifically designed to defeat Soviet armor. It's an absolute beast that can take an enormous amount of damage - if memory serves, an A-10 in the Persian gulf war got half a wing blown off over Iraq along with lots of other damage and still flew back to Saudi arabia and landed safely Problem is, the Russians do have a lot of surface to air batteries in a very, very small place. Might be suicide for those A-10 pilots, even with how many flares and chaff they can carry. |
