In a correctional colony in the Surovyky district of the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation, 4 prisoners attacked the guards and took several people hostage.

Prisoners killed at least three (according to other sources, one, the fate of two more is unknown) employees. At least seven people were injured - they are in intensive care. A few more people are being held hostage.

Everything happened at the disciplinary commission. One of the attackers was convicted under the article "Terrorism". A state of emergency was declared in the penitentiary.

VK-19 is a men's correctional colony under strict regime. In total, according to official data, it holds 1,241 people.

The video published from the colony shows that at least three guards of the colony were killed.

Apparently, the prisoners are involved in ISIS. Previously, they are holding at least five people hostage, including 45-year-old Andrii Devyatov, head of the Central Committee. According to other reports, he was able to escape from the attackers and is currently in intensive care.

A special police force arrived at the colony.

Currently, all roads to the colony are blocked. The attackers demand $2 million and a helicopter.


Also in June in the Rostov pre-trial detention center, ISIS fighters took hostage the head of the operational department of the entire Rostov UFSVP.
