The Russians had a pretty good idea putting a check point there, only trouble is the rebels killed them.

Not really, this comes from a longer video I got out of the archives. It consist mostly of the Mujahideen sitting around planning the attack, although that isn't totally obvious in the vid. Then they head out into the woods like they always do in the Chechen clips. I guess the backstory would be that this was shot during the second Chechen war and is a minor assault against the Russians. Not much more than that really.

No problem, sorry there wasn't more for you. If you are interested in this subject you can view any and all of the Chechen war videos at www.archive.org they have hundreds of hours there and who knows what you might find hidden in the archives.

You're welcome, and all the videos on that site are easily downloaded and in the public domain. So they are yours to do with as you want, that's where I got all the footage for my War Pigs compilation.
