interesting how the architecture of the vehicle shaped the explosion. a lot of its energy was dispersed out into the desert. take note, camel jockeys. |

maybe there was a "dead man switch" on the explosive, meaning that while the driver is conscious/willing, he holds down a button on the armed explosive as he drives. when that button ceases to be pressed(ie the driver is dead/incapacitated from incoming fire, bounced too hard while driving over a ditch and lets go accidentally, or willfully times it), the circuit is switched into "detonate" condition.
