Rather than run to be shot in the back maybe turn around and kill a few guys before they take you out. If you know you’re going to die at least go out shooting instead of running.  Just my two cents speaking from the comfort of my dwelling.  |

It seems like they gave some prisoners guns with no ammo and told them to jog to make it look like they were killing soldiers in battle. The alternative is probably something like getting beheaded or something gnarly like that, so why not go along with it if you're dead anyway?

The soldiers are often highly outnumbered and outgunned. They dont receive much training, and especially defensive training. Their resources are limited, their leadership often weak. |
