USCGC Stratton Sinks Adrift Vessel in Pacific
Crew aboard Legend-class Coast Guard Cutter USCGC Stratton (WMSL 752) used destructive fire from an M2A1 .50 caliber machine gun to sink an abandoned, adrift vessel in the Pacific Ocean on May 12, 2025. The vessel was found while Stratton was on patrol and was described as a hazard to navigation. Stratton is deployed and assigned to Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 15, the Navy's largest DESRON and the U.S. 7th Fleet's principal surface force.  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·  ·
