Unified Command Responds to Wan Hai 176 Off Point Reyes

The Coast Guard, California Department of Fish and Wildlife Office of Spill Prevention and Response, and Marin County established a unified command on April 9, 2022, for the 564-foot container ship Wan Hai 176 about seven miles off Point Reyes, California.

The Singapore-flagged vessel had 21 people on board. It reported losing engine power and being adrift to Coast Guard Sector San Francisco watchstanders.
