Two Vessels Burn at Once in Put-In-Bay Harbor on Lake Erie
Two vessels caught fire at the same time in Put-In-Bay Harbor on South Bass Island, Ohio, in Lake Erie on Aug. 9, 2025. Rescue Marine and Coast Guard Station Marblehead Response-Boat Medium crews responded and extinguished both fires. A Put-In-Bay Police vessel was alongside a burned and disabled pleasure craft after the fire. The pleasure craft's owner and operator sustained burn injuries and got off the vessel before notifying the Coast Guard. Audio Provided by Broadcastify
