Two Mariners Rescued West of Newport After Vessel Takes Water
Coast Guard Station Yaquina Bay crews recovered two mariners from the water three nautical miles west of Newport, Oregon, on Dec. 25, 2025, after their commercial fishing vessel began taking on water. The two mariners were wearing red immersion suits. Both were reported hypothermic but otherwise uninjured.  ·
