In investigating the back story, I understand it was actually a floating orphan's home, run by nuns, and they had just paid to have their house pushed over to the local animal shelter, where each of the orphans and nuns picked out a puppy or kitten to adopt. On the way back to their house parking spot, (known in Dutch as a "Fahrgetwistenanchordroppenspot"), the tug driver decided to have some fun with them. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of this, as I don't speak Dutch, and I made most of it up, anyway. But I think it's what COULD have happened.  Dutch tug drivers are renowned for their senses of humor. |
