Three Surfers Rescued Near Agate Beach, Oregon
A 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Coast Guard Station Yaquina Bay responded Feb. 12, 2023, to a report of multiple surfers in distress near Agate Beach, Oregon. The surfers were being pushed up against rocks. An MH-65 Dolphin helicopter aircrew from Coast Guard Air Facility Newport rescued three surfers and transported them to shore, where Newport Fire Department members were waiting to provide assistance.
