Sunken Vessel Refloated at Juneau
Marine science technicians assigned to Coast Guard Sector Southeast Alaska supervised the refloating of a sunken vessel at Juneau, Alaska, on Jan. 13, 2026. Crewmembers from Melino's Marine Service Seatow & Salvage Inc. carried out the refloating. The Coast Guard coordinated with local agencies on safety and environmental protection during the salvage effort.
