Sapelo Island Ferry Ramp Collapse Response
The U.S. Coast Guard conducted an overflight of the Sapelo Island, Georgia, ferry boat ramp collapse on Oct. 19, 2024. The response involved Coast Guard Sector Charleston, Air Station Savannah, Marine Safety Unit Savannah, and multiple partner agencies to account for missing persons, rescue, and incident recovery.  ·  ·
