Oliver Henry Rescues Two from Skiff Near Namoluk Atoll
USCGC Oliver Henry (WPC 1140) responded to a search and rescue case on March 30, 2025, near Namoluk Atoll in the Federated States of Micronesia. After a Caroline Islands Air aircrew located an 18-foot skiff adrift, the Oliver Henry crew arrived, recovered the two boaters, and returned them and the skiff safely to Namoluk while coordinating with local authorities. The cutter returned to its homeport in Guam on April 1 after several months of drydock maintenance in Honolulu. During the 4,844 nautical mile transit back to Guam, the crew conducted operations, responded to the rescue case, and became the first U.S. government vessel to moor at the Republic of Nauru's newly constructed wharf.
