Man Overboard Rescued Off Santa Cruz Island
Coast Guard Station Channel Islands boat crews met the sailboat Perception off Santa Cruz Island, California, on Aug. 3, 2024, to pick up a man who had gone overboard. Perception, acting as a good Samaritan vessel, found the man 30 minutes into a search and rescue operation involving Coast Guard Air Station San Diego, Coast Guard Auxiliary, BoatUS, and a fishing spotter plane.  ·  ·
