Good Samaritan Assists Driver in Houston Ship Channel
On Dec. 31, 2021, a vehicle drove off the Lynchburg Ferry landing and into the Houston Ship Channel in Baytown, Texas. A Good Samaritan jumped into the water to assist the motorist. Coast Guard Sector Houston-Galveston later recognized the Good Samaritan's actions with a certificate of merit.
