German Couple Medevaced from BW Lilac North of Aguadilla
Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater MH-60 helicopter crews medevaced a German man and woman on Apr. 17, 2022, from the 967-foot, Malta-flagged tanker BW Lilac about 110 miles north of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. The two boaters, reportedly in their 60s, had each been injured aboard the 36-foot sailing vessel Uplace. They had to abandon that vessel in 12-foot seas about 340 nautical miles north of Puerto Rico.
