Cutter Joseph Napier Seizes Cocaine South of Puerto Rico
Coast Guard Cutter Joseph Napier interdicted a smuggling vessel in international waters in the Caribbean Sea south of Puerto Rico on June 18, 2023. The cutter's crew seized approximately 2,024 pounds of cocaine, estimated at a wholesale value of $23 million. Four smugglers apprehended in the case face prosecution by the U.S. Department of Justice at the Federal District Court in Puerto Rico.  ·
