Cruise Ship Rescues Injured Mariner 489 Miles Off Oregon
The Coast Guard coordinated the rescue of an injured 74-year-old Canadian citizen 489 miles off the Oregon coast on May 26, 2026. The crew of the cruise ship Silver Whisper rescued the distressed mariner after diverting 120 miles.
