Coast Guard Transfers 98 from Cruiser to Bahamas
A Coast Guard Station Lake Worth Inlet law enforcement crew stopped the overloaded 40-foot cabin cruiser Power Whirl about 20 miles off Boca Raton, Florida, on Oct. 12, 2022. Men, women and children were aboard, with people waving their arms through the windows. Coast Guard Cutter Dependable's small boat crew transferred people from the cabin cruiser to the cutter. The Coast Guard transferred 96 Haitians, one Ugandan and one Bahamian to Bahamian authorities on Oct. 16, 2022.  ·  ·  ·
