Coast Guard Rescues Two Boaters from Horn Island
A Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew rescued two boaters July 29, 2024, from Horn Island, Mississippi. The two boaters had been stranded overnight on the island. The aircrew arrived on scene, located them, landed on the beach, and brought them aboard the helicopter. The boaters were safely transported to Gulfport-Biloxi International Airport.
