Coast Guard Rescues Over 390 from Haitian Sail Freighter
The crew of Coast Guard Cutter Legare stopped an unsafe and overloaded Haitian sail freighter about 60 miles south of Andros Island, Bahamas, on Jan. 21, 2023. More than 390 people were rescued. They were scheduled to be transferred to Bahamian authorities.
