Coast Guard Rescues Man Under New Youngs Bay Bridge
A Coast Guard aircrew rescued a man clinging to a bridge piling in the water under the New Youngs Bay Bridge near Astoria, Oregon, on March 6, 2025. The crew deployed a rescue swimmer, who placed the man into a rescue basket. He was hoisted onto the bridge, where police officers and fire department members at the scene assisted him.
