Coast Guard Rescues Man Off Longboat Key After Milton
A Coast Guard Air Station Miami aircrew rescued a man clinging to a cooler about 30 miles off Longboat Key, Florida, on Oct. 9, 2024, following Hurricane Milton. The man was taken to Tampa General Hospital for medical care after Coast Guard Sector St. Petersburg lost communications with him at about 6:45 p.m.
